Nature’s Couture

Mother Nature’s couture was here,
He bought some snow that is lingering near.
The boughs are dressed in winter white,
And lighten up the cold dark night.

The courture impressed upon my soul,
To enjoy the gems of winter’s snow.
The sparkling branches kiss the sky,
The blue jays loud their voices cry.

The winter white will soon be gone,
And leave a brownish scene by dawn.
The winter winds are coming soon,
The snow will all be gone by noon.

I still enjoy the sparkling light,
Of winter’s silence in the night.
I hope so much for an early spring,
I need to hear the robins sing.
