My Review of Turtle Creek Hotel

Dallas is a city that is full of numerous different unique hotels to stay at. We hit the jackpot by staying at the only Forbe 5 star and AAA 5 Diamond Hotel located in Texas.

Location

Turtle Creek Hotel is a 9 story world renowned hotel located at 2821 Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas, Texas. I am glad that we had the opportunity to stay here.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere at the hotel is very elegant and beautiful. As you walk into the hotel you are immediately taken back with the beauty of every detail of the area. The marble tile floors glimmer in the light. In the center of the entrance is a round stone table with a large flower vase placed on top of it. The tall arched windows add the perfect amount of light into the room. On the walls were sconces and oversized mirrors.

That is only the beginning because the next room is the lobby and it just keeps getting better the further you walk in to the hotel. The lobby was decorated very chic. With 2 couches and egg shaped red chairs surrounding a nice stone fireplace, the room was extremely inviting.

Rooms

The 9 story hotel is complete with 143 hotel rooms with your choice of where you would like to stay.

Deluxe Room Deluxe Patio Room Premier Room Executive Parlor Executive Suite Master Suite Terrace Suite

We choose the Master Suite and were very impressed. The 1350 square foot room was more than enough for my husband and me. It was complete with an entry foyer, powder room, a dining room with a table for 6, a fully equipped kitchen, king sized bed, sitting area with a couch and 2 chairs, a mini bar, hardwood floors, a 42″ plasma TV with surround sound, internet access, and a small fridge stocked with bottled water.

The Mansion Restaurant

The Mansion Restaurant followed suite with the rest of the hotel by being just as amazing. The restaurant foyer was enough to lure me in to eat there. In the foyer were black and white checkered floors surrounded long extending staircases. White antique chairs, white pillars with vases and a large mirror decorated the area. Once again, very elegant and inviting.

Inside the wood paneling of the walls and the beamed ceilings really opened the area up. Beautiful Palladian windows, hand carved fireplaces, dark mahogany wood tables with high backed leather chairs, and sconces and mirrors hanging on the walls added a warm, romantic vibe to the restaurant.

The bar area was a little different and very stylish. The walls had built in lighted shelves that held liquor bottles and miscellaneous knick knacks and were lined in dark brown leather. Black tables and brown leather chairs filled the area.

The outside eating area known as the Terrace offered guests an al fresco fireside dining and lounging. Light yellow colored comfortable outdoor furniture is situated throughout the brick floor area that is blanketed overhead by large oak trees. The big fireplace off to the side gives this area a romantic and warm vibe that makes you never want to leave the area.

You can also eat in the Veranda which is enclosed and completed with high arched ceiling. It is very simple in here with light brick colored floors and light green chairs and curtains.

The Wine Cellar

This is the perfect spot if you have a group of 12 or less and are looking for a private dining experience. The long stretched white linen clothed table has high backed comfortable light yellow chairs that you dine at as you are surrounded by wooden walls that are stocked with wine bottles.

Overall

We really enjoyed our stay here and would go back here the next time we are in Dallas. I would recommend this place for adults only. There are too many antiques that are breakable sitting around everywhere to bring kids here.
