My Inspiration: Where I Turn

John 3:16

King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This is a verse everyone is taught to remember and recite in Sunday School and Bible Study..Matthew 6:5-13

King James Version (KJV)

5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11Give us this day our daily bread.

12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen
This can also be found in Luke 11:2-4 It felt good to recite the first part of this in Bible Study in 2008. 2 Samuel 22:28

And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
2 Samuel 22:27-29 (in Context) 2 Samuel 22 (Whole Chapter)

Other than Matt. 7:5 this will remind us of our attitude and to check our own back yard before passing judgement..

Psalm 119:104

King James Version (KJV)

104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
I found this in my Biblr Study with Kay Arthur series “Which Way are You Walking” last year. I used to recite this when I heard false preaching in my Bible Study group in 2008.
Psalm 23:1-6

King James Version (KJV)

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
This was found in my senior English book in high school and is another of my favorites because I know it. If I can’t remember the Lord’s Prayer, I would recite this one.Hebrews 11:1 King James Version

1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
This is a good example of Faith defined in the Bible and another of the easiest Bible verses to remember along with Jeremiah 29:11. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end .
