The energy efficient models from Maytag combine the environmental savvy of Energy Star certified and the reliability of Maytag. All of this is great for the people that want to do their part for the environment, save on their energy bills, but also need to keep food fresh, as well as clothes and plates clean.
These appliances work as well, if not better than, traditional appliances. While energy-efficient models will sometimes cost a little more up front, the savings and the tax credit that is very likely to be received will more than make up for it.
My personal experiences are that the energy efficient appliances in my home are very positive.
The appliances that have been the high-efficiency washer and dryer, while the dishwasher and refrigerator are new additions. All of these replaced the traditional appliances that came with the house when they broke down. The washer and dryer are nearly ten years old and show no sign of breaking down anytime soon.
The washer and dryer rarely shake when they’re being used if the clothes aren’t dropped around the center of the washer and they can handle a surprising amount of laundry loads per cycle. Additionally, the washer has separate cycles that are preset even for delicate clothing. The dryer even has an alarm to signal when the clothes are done.
The refrigerator is more convenient, too. Not only can more refrigerated foods be stored in there, so can a good portion of freezable items. Like the refrigerator before it, there is an in-door station that produces ice and water. However, this in-door station is still functioning, whereas the in-door station of the unit that came before lost its function in less than a month. It could still keep foods cool and defrost, but it may as well not have had an in-door station.
The dishwasher, in addition to having better organization, has the same basic features as its predecessor. The wash cycles have the same basic settings. However there is an option of stopping in the middle of the cycle if need be that was missing in its forerunner.
I would most definitely recommend energy efficient appliances to anyone. They function at least as well as traditional appliances. In addition, they are better for the environment, house finances and even the world as a whole. Maytag is also known for lasting a very long time and when it’s combined with energy efficiency, the results are a match made in heaven.
