Kids Bored? it is Time for the Kansas State Fair!

The ending of summer and start of a new school year doesn’t have to mean an end to fun. With kids returning to school, it is very apparent to both parents and teachers in the first few weeks that most children are having a tough time settling into the grove of starting a new school year. Most parents can plainly see the restlessness that accompanies their children with this transition and would love to find a way to relieve them of their tension and put a smile back on their faces.

One of the best ways to handle this situation on a yearly basis is to keep in mind that just a few short weeks after the school year starts, the Kansas State fair kicks off and taking your child to the fair is a sure way to rejuvenate your child and help to break up the doldrums they are experiencing. The fair is full of fun and sure to put a grin back on their face and the spring back in their step as well as add a much needed spark of excitement to your child’s otherwise unenthusiastic return to school.

The Kansas State Fair starts on Sept 9th and goes until Sept 18th and gates open bright and early at 7:00 A.M to insure that your whole day is filled with excitement. Every day of the fair will include a variety of entertainment and boredom busting fun at a reasonable price! This year, admission to the Kansas State Fair is only $5.00 in advance for adults, 3.00 for children and $4.00 for seniors, however the advance discount tickets must be purchased online before Sept 8th at http://kansasstatefair.tix.com/Event.asp?Event=317538 and if that isn’t cheap enough for you the Fair will host Dollar Day with a gate admission of only $1.00 per person on Monday, September 12, 2011.

With admission prices being such a great deal all you have to worry about is what you will do first! Visit the farm animals, enjoy rides on the midway, attend livestock events and competitions or enjoy some lake side entertainment at the Talbott Lake stage. For additional fees the fair offers music lovers a chance to enjoy concerts by mainstream musicians as well as motor sports events for the racing enthusiast. There is a literally tons of things to do at the fair and every day the schedule is jam packed with activities.

Some of the events to be held at this year’s fair include a Truck and Tractor Pull on September 9th, Kool & The Gang on September 10th, Kenny Rogers on September 11th, Demolition Derby on September 12th, Darius Rucker on September 13th , REO Speedwagon with the Little River Band on September 14th, Third Day on September 16th, Daughtry on September 17th and Big Time Rush with Hot Chelle Rae on September 18th.
