From Press Conference Held at 2:00 Arizona Time
In the last week, investigators had uncovered, by unknown means, information that lead them to arrest Jerice Hunter for child abuse of Jhessye Shockley. They have named Jerice Hunter, their top suspect in the disappearance of Jhessye. Speculation that a suitcase seen being brought out of the home that Jhessye lived in might contain her body, seem to be unfounded. The police have said that the $20,000.00 reward is still in place for anyone who can lead them to the person or persons responsible for Jhessye’s disappearance. When asked how close they were to discovering Jhessye’s body, there was a standard, “I cannot address that at this time”. There was no further information as to where any information had come from.
