The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be in town from October 12th through October 16th, and will host a parade featuring several animals as they walk through Cambridge and Boston to the TD Garden. The Animal Walk is free and open to the public; it will include the Pachyderm Performers- 9 Asian elephants, 10 horses, and 2 ponies, along with their trainers and handlers. The parade will leave from Pacific Ave. in Cambridge, then head to Massachusetts Ave. and Memorial Drive, before crossing the Charles River Bridge and heading toward the TD Garden.

Historic Bell Raising Celebration

On October 16th, at 2pm, the Old South Meeting House will raise their newly acquired bell, which was made by Paul Revere in 1801, to the clock tower. The festivities will start earlier, though, at 11am, and will continue throughout the day. There will be performances on the plaza across from the meeting house by a Boston Landmarks Orchestra ensemble, the Old South Church Choir, a Back Bay Ringers ensemble and singers from the Boston Children’s Chorus.
