The sun shines through the window,
as I rise up in bed.
I can see the birds singing,
as I turn my head.
To look outside,
at such a gorgeous summer day.
There is so many things to do,
I need to get started right away.
Wake up honey,
I say to my little girl.
Let’s go experience,
this beautiful world.
We head out the door,
with our towels in hand.
Let’s go to the beach first,
and lay in the sand.
Perhaps, we’ll build a castle,
upon the sea shore.
Then jump back in the water,
to play a little more.
Regardless, where we end up today,
we are going to have fun.
For, nothing compares,
to that glorious summer sun.
