Gerber Nature Select 100% Pear Juice

For the past week my 11 month old granddaughter has been fighting a cold. She is also teething and was resisting drinking any liquids, which really concerned me because I didn’t want her to become dehydrated.

When I was shopping for cold medications and a humidifier I also purchased a bottle of Gerber Nature Select 100% Pear Juice. My granddaughter loves pears and I was hoping this would like this juice because we really needed to get fluids into her.

The bottle contains 32 ounces and pictures a baby sitting up, with the word “Sitter” below. The label on my bottle of Gerber Nature Select 100% Pear Juice claims to be fortified with vitamin C, supports healthy growth and development, and that one half cup of the juice is one serving of fruit.

More information is printed on the back of the label, explaining when a child is ready for this juice. Gerber states if your child can sit independently and shows excitement when food is presented, they may be ready for Gerber Nature Select 100% Pear Juice. It is made specifically for babies and toddlers and it does not contain added sweeteners or artificial colors.

Although Gerber explains that their ingredients are “carefully selected to meet Gerber high quality standards”, they are not organic. That is my one and only complaint with this juice because I do prefer organic when I can find it. Still, this seems to be a high quality juice made from pear juice concentrate, water and vitamin C (taken from my bottle).

Gerber Nature Select 100% Pear Juice is one of the few beverages my granddaughter would consume, and she seemed to love this flavor. I was very relieved that we were able to get fluids into her little body, and I will certainly consider purchasing Gerber Nature Select 100% Pear Juice in the future.
