Design: The GM527 is one of the new models from Emerson and has a sleek black design that will suit any setting. It is has a compact build with handles on the side making it easy to transport from place to place. There are two microphone holders built into the top of the machine, as well as an iPod docking station, USB/SD Card Slot, headphone jack and basic control buttons. On the front you have speakers, the CD player and control buttons such as Play/Stop, Digital Key and Record. Also on the front, there are two microphone inputs located on the left and right side of the machine. All other connections are at the rear. This includes a battery compartment (8 “C” batteries are required), Audio outputs (RCA – White and Red), Video outputs (RCA – Yellow) and a AUX input that can be used for an iPod or MP3 players. The GM527 has a built-in 7″ TFT Color Screen that makes viewing lyrics extremely easy. It functions on 120VAC, batteries or 12V car adapter (sold separately).
Features: It also has the basic features you will find on most karaoke machines, such as balance control, echo and digital key control that will allow you to change the key of the music. The GM527 is able to play regular CDs, CD+Graphics and DVDs. Remember only CD+Graphic and karaoke DVDs will be able to display song lyrics. But being able to support all these media types gives you a wider range of media to choose from. Making it easy to find music you like. You can connect an iPod or MP3 player to the GM527 as well. You can even watch a DVD movie on the built-in screen or connect it to a TV screen. It has a record feature that will allow you to record music and your singing digitally on a USB device or SD Card.
Even though it has a built-in monitor for displaying lyrics, you still can connect the machine to an external source, like your TV to display lyrics. And if you are using the GM527 in a larger area for more people, just connect the audio output to a surround system. The built-in screen is bright and does have good image quality. You should have no problem seeing lyrics or any DVD images.
