Dr. Oz – Apple Juice

Dr. Oz believes that apple juice could contain arsenic making it harmful for your health. Dr. Oz is under fire by other medical doctors and health organizations which call his statements about apple juice misleading and untrue. The U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claims that all brands of apple juice on the market are safe, but representatives refused to talk directly with Dr. Oz or appear on his show.

However, Dr. Oz is standing firm on his word. Dr. Oz insists that some popular brands of apple juice are unsafe due to high levels of arsenic. More than half of the apple juice on the American market is produced in other countries, such as China, where food safety standards are sometimes questionable.

Dr. Oz is concerned about public health and safety. “There could be toxins in juice that we are giving our kids.” Apple juice is one of the most popular beverages given to young children. If apple juice has unsafe levels of arsenic there could be serious health consequences for thousands of people. Arsenic is linked to a variety of health problems, including cancer.

Dr. Oz consistently stands by his belief that the public has a right to know the facts about the products they purchase; consumers need to be aware of potential problems with food and beverages on the market. Dr. Oz is a respected medical doctor and many of his supporters believe that it is unlikely that he would intentionally present false information about apple juice or any other health and safety issue.
