Could the Failure to Complete High School Influence the Same in Other Areas of Life?

Simply I say yes but it should also be said to what degree. I base this on conversations that I have had throughout the years from different people of all shape, sizes and color. Each started projects but did not complete them and became even more distract with their positions because of it. It became such a factor that I found myself surprised to find people who fail to complete projects in life that did complete high school.

For many it is said that it’s more about the failure to focus on what it is that they wish to complete or envision the completion and follow through as a way of getting them past that hurdle. I believe that it is a mixture of these things and more. In addition to those previously mentioned, it is my belief that it can be a failure of those around them to point out when the task started has been completed and it is not celebrated as the huge victory that it is for people in this situation. Failing at anything has a very sharp edge and a very deep chasm of despair and a feeling of unworthiness attached to it and prevention of those we care about falling into that chasm should be one of our greatest concerns. We should applaud when they achieve and celebrate their success. We should never go overboard with this celebration, however, but a simple “good job” could be the difference from them attempting other projects or settling for that which they now believe that they deserve.

While some many be able to break this chain alone, many can’t and require the help of loved ones or people who really care about them. No one can be there for every single accomplishment and we should not try and be aware of all of them, just a few “atta boys or good girls” can go a very long way in the physic of one who may be wrestling with the stigma of high school non-complete. While we can really do little to help someone who does not wish to help themselves, we can do more to help ourselves by offering just a few seconds of our time to the ones we love. It’s the least that we can do and who knows, it may be the best thing in the world for those who are walking that razor’s edge between feeling like a winner or a loser. We celebrate sports figures and famous people but we fail to celebrate those that are closest to us and in this we fail.
