Cookie Invitation – Take any large cookie cutter and trace it onto a light brown colored piece of paper. Decorate the front of the cookie with puffy paint and write all the party details on the back.
Cookie Sheet Invitation – Cut a rectangle from gray paper. Use either cookie stickers or small cookies cut from paper and glue them on the front of the invitation. Write the party details on the back of the invitation.

Decorations:Colors: Shades of brown, red, green and bright white.
Create cardboard cut-outs of gingerbread men, or use the birthday child as the pattern. Trace around their body and cut it out. Decorate them with foam shapes and glitter.
Use the snacks you will be providing at the party as part of the decoration. If you are going to be cookies as snacks you can place them in a variety of clear containers at different heights.
Use ingredients as decorations. Use the containers of flour and sugar as a centerpiece. Tie some ribbon around the canisters with a nice bow. You can also use a container of wooden spoons.

Activities:Provide each child with an apron. You can write their names on them with puffy paint or use iron on letters.
Make each child 10 to 12 sugar cookies to decorate. You can provide them with white icing to frost the cookies and all sorts of candies to decorate them. Or you can provide them with several colors of icing and piping bags.
Use a basic paper plate and stack 3 or 4. Punch holes around the sides. Have the children lace the plates together and decorate with markers. This can be used as the plate they set cookies on for Santa or to take their cookies home on.
Create a gingerbread house station. Either use one gingerbread house everyone can all help decorate or make small houses they can each decorate using graham crackers and royal icing.

A few other tips and reminders:This party can be used for young children up to teenagers.
After the cookies are decorated place them in a single layer in a gift box to send home with the children. Do not forget to use a gift tag to label the box with their names.
You can take the same basic ideas here and have guests bring cookies to share and convert this to a cookie exchange.
Favors are not needed since the guests are all going home with cookies.
