CHRISTMAS SHOPPING with LADY GAGA

Christmas? Really? It seems like summer was just last week, how can all that heat and humidity just eveporate? Back when it was so oppressive, I couldn’t wait for the fall and some cooler temperatures; the problem is, fall just doesn’t hang around long enough before the bitterness of winter takes over. I’m not one of those people who likes to get out there and elbow my way through malls to try and get a deal on a Christmas gift; the internet was the best thing that could have happened for shopping as far as I’m concerned. But something has changed since last Christmas and I was more than happy to get out and do a little shopping with Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga is a beautiful and feisty Yorkshire Terrier that decided to adopt me and my wife back a few months ago and things haven’t been the same around the house since. We’re in awe of how much energy is packed into her small silver coated frame and with the boundless affection she showers on both of us each and every day. If you’ve got the blues, just get yourself a Yorkie and everything will start to look a whole lot better.

Last weekend, my wife suggested we should get Gaga a nice red Christmas collar so we could take some pictures of Gaga under the Christmas tree. We had been talking about taking Gaga to Petsmart for quite a while and this seemed to be the perfect time. We all piled into the car, one of Gaga’s favorite activities, and sat out as did quite a few pets and their humans on that particular Saturday. We couldn’t remember ever seeing so many dogs, big ones, small ones and everything in between. I regret not taking a photo of Gaga’s first encounter with a Great Dane whose head was actually bigger than all of our little Yorkie. Surprisingly, they became fast friends and I couldn’t help but visualize Gaga riding around like Cleopatra on the back of that huge tan dog.

We made a stop by the cats looking for someone to adopt them and we found, again to our surprise, Gaga liked them as well, especially a Calico named Brutus who playfully tapped Gaga on the head a few times with her paw. Brutus really is a beautiful cat and we hope he finds a family soon.

We ventured over to the collars and Gaga picked out a very tasteful collar with small black fish and a red background. Now, we just have to get that tree up and make some pictures. Merry Christmas.
