There are many different tenant screening services out there that are free. Many landlords out their wonder why they should pay for this service if they can just get it for free. Well free sites might be a good way to a eliminate some of the potential tenants they tend to be limited and can often miss important items.
Frankly getting a report that runs through multiple credit bureaus costs money because they charge money to run a full report. Free sites only generally give you a partial report. They also tend to be not as up to date. If someone has just recently reported that person to credit bureau it is unlike that it will show up in a free report.
BBB VS NOT
BBB or the better business bureau has a list of sites that offer tenant screening that have memeberships. you don’t have to use one of their sites but members of BBB will be kicked if they have to many complaints filed. The BBB site also lists all complaints that were filled and whether or not the company dealt with them. Its a good way to insure that the site you use is a decent one.
