Brilliant Musical Acts that Should Go on Tour Together

There is nothing quite like the spark that is emitted by the chemistry formed between two outstanding musical acts. Separate identities, individual sounds, and unique personalities fused together to create a complementary performance of epic proportions. Here is a look at some musical acts that should go on tour together from the perspective of a die-hard music fan.

Florence + the Machine and Adele

Two ladies that would set the stage on fire with their powerful voices are Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine and Adele. Both Adele and Florence + the Machine are known for their gorgeous harmonizing abilities. What would be interesting to see is how Adele adapts to Florence’s stage persona. The pair could be absolutely stunning together. I’d give my left arm to see this pair of London ladies sing together live.

Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Boy and Bear

Another group of talented musical acts that would blend well together are Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Boy and Bear. All three music groups have a similar sound. Mumford and Sons would flow beautifully with Edward Sharpe’s care-free vibe, and Boy and Bear would make a nice complementary sound to both. I’d pay a hearty sum to see these bands rip the strings together and belt out songs like “Home,” “Dustbowl Dance,” and “Feeding Line.”

Vampire Weekend, Bombay Bicycle Club, and MGMT

Three musical acts that would flourish together include Vampire Weekend, Bombay Bicycle Club, and MGMT. Each band has their own funky vibe and their own respective legion of adoring fans. Combine these three bands and you have one hell of a show. Imagine rousing renditions of “Electric Feel,” “Horchata,” and “Always Like This.”

Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, and Horse Feathers

A brilliant stage show would combine the folksy-bluegrass sound of Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, and Horse Feathers. Each group has a sound that features acoustic instrumentals, beautiful male harmonies, and a home-grown vibe. Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, and Horse Feathers should open their night with “Curs in the Weeds,” heat things up with “Boy with a Coin,” and end on “Mykonos.”

Lissie, Laura Marling, and Sia

Three soulful ladies who would rock the stage together are Lissie, Laura Marling, and Sia. With Lissie’s country twang, Laura Marling’s witty lyrics, and Sia’s hauntingly beautiful voice, audiences would be begging for more. Each lady has their own brand of soul: Lissie with a Southern folk-rock feel, Laura with a sound that is unique to the London folk scene, and Sia’s Aussie-accented swoon make for a trio of beautiful voices that would work well together.
