A Bellingham Summer’s Morn

A Bellingham Summer’s Morn.

Early morning sunrises intermingled with an abundance of normal gray cloudy days.

Dawn’s chirping feathered friends, honking Canadian Geese flying overhead to the lushly green San Juan Islands and the wind driven white capped sparkling blue waters of Bellingham Bay.

Morning wisps of fog rising from fields of newly mown grass.

Casts an eerie, almost luminous glow as nocturnal beasts scurry to shelter as another night fades into the past.

Sparkling drops of dew, shining like uncut emeralds cover mornings ground.

A summer’s morning in Bellingham unlike anywhere else I have travelled to or found.

The three sister peaks sitting beside majestic snowcapped Mount Baker tower above Whatcom County’s pristine fields, valleys and streams.

As a pair of Bald Eagles soar effortlessly overhead searching for their prey, it likely seems.

The calm, tranquil silence of a Bellingham early morning soon interrupted by Sea Gulls plaintive cries.

As they fly towards Bellingham Bay in the cool brisk pink and orange sun rise colored morning skies.

A more beautiful sight I feel can only be captured on an artist’s canvas many of those living in Bellingham would enthusiastically believe

Will forever be lasting, burned deep within my memory ready on a thought’s moment to recall, as I will instantly be able in my mind’s eye to remember, view or retrieve.
