What Are the Best Web Browsers to Use when Writing Articles, Uploading Pictures and Videos?

Seems like a simple question, but I’ve been writing articles for some time and while online servers update and computers change browsers, I couldn’t seem to find this simple answer through a web search. I found articles that described web browsers and different choices, but not the clearly identifiable answer to this question. So, with any luck this article is an answer for someone else to this fundamental question.

Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome?

I’ve kept it straightforward using Internet Explorer and updated to Internet Explorer 9 like others without worry. Until a few years ago, I didn’t realize why anyone would download different browsers, but that’s beside the point. I have written a few articles and Internet Explorer 9 seemed fine until you try and download pictures or video. Sometimes pictures don’t upload and I’ve been unable to add credit or copyright to anything (something I already worry about). Needless to say Internet Explorer 9 is not completely supported by a few sites.

I have used both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome on separate computers and besides the obvious features promised, I have found Mozilla Firefox easier to learn and navigate. Mozilla Firefox also works exceptionally with Yahoo! Contributor or Yahoo! Voices even uploading video and pictures fast.

Google Chrome is an incredibly nice browser also, but has a ton of updates that follow after install on most computers. It promises faster web browsing, but you won’t truly detect a difference if already using a high speed connection. The good news is these browsers are completely free to use and download with all features included (they aren’t selling you something). They download quickly and I haven’t had problems launching either browser after install. I do like Internet Explorer 9 and use it mostly, except when publishing articles. When downloading the file it’ll ask if you want Mozilla Firefox (or Google Chrome) as your main browser. Select [no] and you will get two icons at the bottom of the screen allowing you to open the browser you choose.

In addition, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox both interface well with Internet Explorer. While downloading the file it will prompt you to transfer your favorites, bookmarks, et cetera if desired, which makes the transition to the new browser very convenient, if occasionally using Mozilla Firefox like me. I’m providing links below to download Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer 9 for free. Good luck and good uploading!
