Video of Chinese Girl Driving Goes Viral

It took no time at all for the recently posted video of a 4-year-old Chinese girl driving a car to go viral. The video takes place in Jinal, a city located in the Shandong Province of China. The first big reaction to the video was shock. Now, viewers are wondering whether the controversial video was staged.

Over the past few years, a lot of the biggest viral videos have featured children taking part in risky activities. A lot of the people post such videos in hopes of gaining recognition on YouTube. After all, YouTube fame can be life changing. It certainly was for Justin Bieber. The difference is that Justin Bieber garnered attention for his musical talent, while more recent YouTube stars are putting their own lives at risk for a little online attention. It is even worse in the video of the Chinese girl driving, as the risky behavior is clearly being promoted by adults who should know better.

Some viewers argue that the video of the Chinese girl driving is a hoax. They believe that the car is similar to one used for driver’s training and that it is the parents that have control of the vehicle. While this may be true, it does not exonerate the adults in the video. It is still irresponsible to post a video that could potentially encourage others to engage in risky behavior.
