Top 5 Snowmobiling Sponsorships to Apply for in 2012

Are you a snowmobile racer in search of a sponsor? There are several companies that I know of that are currently accepting sponsorship requests from amateur snowmobile racers. In general, sponsorship benefits vary from discounts on products to snowmobile swag and cash.

If you’re interested, the first thing that you’ll need to do is make that initial contact with the company of your choice. The second is to start developing a relationship with the reps. It usually takes months to secure a sponsorship, so if you start now you might have one in time for the 2012/2013 racing season.

Here’s a quick look at a few of sponsorships that you may want to consider applying for:

1. X EKS Brand

The X EKS Brand is an eyewear company that sells snowmobiling goggles. It is located on Venture Boulevard in Woodland Hills, Calif., and has been in business for over three decades. The company reps are accepting team rider requests from snowmobilers until Dec. 31, 2012. You best option is to make initial contact via email and let the relationship build from there.

2. RZ Mask LLC

RZ Mask LLC is based in Burnsville, Minn., and manufactures face masks that may be worn during snowmobile racing, snowboarding, skiing, ice hockey and ice fishing. The company is accepting sponsorship requests from professional snowmobile racers until May 24, 2012. To kick start the process you’ll need to send the reps an email asking for sponsorship information. Whatever you do, make sure that you follow the instructions that you’re sent.

3. Atlas Brace

Atlas Brace is a motorsports brace manufacturer based in Santa Clarita, Calif. You may send your resume and sponsorship request to the company’s reps either by snail mail or email from now until Aug. 3, 2013. You can find the company’s contact information on the FAQ section of its website.

4. Motor Tassinari

Motor Tassinari is located on Technology Drive in West Lebanon, N.H., and manufactures tunable intake and reed valve systems. The company is accepting snowmobiler sponsorship requests via its HookIt website until Dec. 31, 2012.

5. MotoOption Clothing Company

The MotoOption Clothing Company sells a wide assortment of motorsports apparel and accessories. It is based in Ontario, N.Y., and is accepting sponsorship requests from snowmobilers until July 26, 2012. Be prepared to tell the company’s reps what you can do to promote its brands and show your dedication to the sport. You can send your request and resume via email or HookIt.
