Does your dog like to hang out at the skatepark with you? If so, you may want to consider picking up a few skateboarding related items just for him. Here are my picks for the top five skateboarding related items you should consider buying your dog:
1. Elevated Skateboard Dog Feeder
Elevated Skateboard Dog Feeders seem to be popular right now and your skateboard loving pooch may just appreciate having one. It consists of a skateboard deck that has had two circular holes cut out of it for the purpose of inserting and holding a pet’s food and water dishes inside them. The Elevated Skateboard Dog Feeders come in a variety of designs and generally cost $120 to $140 each. Don’t want to spend that kind of money? A less expensive option is to make one yourself out of an old skateboard deck you have lying around the house.
2. Skateboard deck wall hanger
These little ditties consist of a round piece of recycled skateboard deck that has a hook and can be mounted to a wall. Pet owners use them to hang up their dog’s leash near an entrance door to make getting ready for walks easier. The skateboard deck wall hangers typically sell for $45 each and may be purchased from select pet suppliers online.
3. Skateboard themed dog collars
Did you know that some skateboard companies make dog collars as well? You can pick up a Shake Junt dog collar and other brands at some online shops for around $9. If your dog is collar averse, there is always the option of a skateboard themed bandana. You can find a variety of those online as well for around $8 each.
4. Natural Balance Tillman Skateboarding Plush Dog Toy
If your dog likes to chew on plush toys, likes to skateboard or is a fan of a dog that does, you may want to consider forking over $8 for a Natural Balance Tillman Skateboarding Plush Dog Toy. It is currently only available at Petco, which also sells Natural Balance Tillman’s Training Tips Dog Treats for roughly $7 a bag.
5. Skateboard and instructional DVD
If you manage to channel your inner Dog Whisper and feel up to the challenge, you may want to lend your dog your skateboard and buy yourself a copy of Bill Ryan’s DVD Teaching your dog to skateboard. The DVD may be purchased online and tends to retail for $25. Who knows, if your pet gets good enough you may just find yourself on a late night television show or with your own line of skateboarding dog items at Petco.
