Tissue Paper Birthday Party Decorations You Can Make Yourself

Tissue paper, it’s one of those craft items that are a must in every crafter’s supply closet. Why? Tissue paper is dirt-cheap and its uses are endless. In planning my daughter’s upcoming birthday party I found tutorial upon tutorial that used tissue paper to make birthday party decorations. Which is perfect for a birthday party being planned on a budget. Here are three of my favorite birthday party decoration tutorials that use tissue paper.

Tissue Paper Pom Poms

One of the most popular birthday party decorations using tissue paper seems to be tissue paper pom poms. These are adorable, easy to make, and make a huge statement when hung.

There are a variety of great tissue paper tutorials online. Martha Stewart offers a photo tutorial showing how to make the large tissue paper pom poms on her website. If you are looking for something that is not quite so big then you might want to check out the Pom Pom garland from The Little Red House. She uses the same basic tissue paper pom poms as Martha Stewart but just makes them much smaller, and attaches them to string for a garland. Sarah at Sleek Shindigs offers a tutorial that shows how to use the large tissue paper pom poms to create a Pom Pom Backdrop that can be used as a photo backdrop or even as a backdrop to the dessert table.
