Tips on Beating Anxiety

All you have to do is lay down at night for a good night’s sleep before anxiety sets in about all of the things that need to be done, bills that need to be paid, and the dread of dealing with the next work day. Bedtime is a time that everyone needs to not stress or worry about life’s little setback and duties. Sleep is a time of restoration but how do we actually beat anxiety and enjoy our down time?

It is not just even at bedtime when worrisome thought set in it is when you least expect it that anxiety and stress set in. When you really examine a situation worrying about it does not help at all. It is better to calm down and back away to come back to the situation with fresh eyes. You will find once you have calmed your mind that there are numerous solutions. Allowing anxiety and stress to take over not only defeats the purpose but also causes health issues.

There are a couple of ways to beat anxiety and allow your rest time and free time to be enjoyed without getting cheated. Consider the fact that there is a solution for absolutely everything. Then think about what the worst case scenario is and how it would actually affect your life. Once you get past dealing with that the rest is a piece of cake. Do all of these things prior to your bedtime. Don’t even take them into your bedroom or allow the thoughts to creep into your free time especially on the weekend. Learn to cancel those thoughts and replace them with more pleasant thoughts including goals and dreams. If you don’t allow your mind to power the thoughts they cannot take over.

Write down all of the things that need to be done along with a time line. Also write down possible solutions no matter how wild they might be. Rather than putting your mind in a state of frenzy and anxiety approach the problem by being proactive and looking for solutions. Once you have written everything down along with the solutions take care of yourself. Enjoy a bubble bath or work out or meditate. Yoga and meditation are ideal ways to reclaim your peace of mind and also leads to a healthy lifestyle. Do something that lends to creating a sensation of freeing yourself and you will find your anxiety melting away.
