The Glory of the Lord

I will sing of the glory
of the Lord forever!
From my heart
will I give praise!
My soul will rise
toward Heaven
on the soaring reaches
of the peaks of song!
Oh! Great is the Lord,
so greatly to be praised!
How He lifts my soul
above this mundane world!
How in humbling me
He exalts me.
For He is my strength.
He is the song in my heart!
He is my strong fortress.
He is the Rock of my salvation!
My soul rises to the gates of Heaven!
Within, it is filled with raging fire,
with the light and glory of the Lord!
