The Choice

She sat at the table, her face forlorn; the table torn and tattered from age, much like her physical appearance and her insides.

It was three weeks ago that she had to endure all of the pain and the bruises; Even though the pain did not come from the outside, the bruises on her heart were weighing as heavily as a ten pound weight. Today, she had a choice. She could bear the weight of the pain, but instead, she chose to look to the heavens and seek help. This choice has made all of the difference.
