If you are thinking about switching your television and/or internet provider, I have only one thing to say, don’t switch to Suddenlink. My time with them was filled with nothing but disappointment and poor service.
I live out in Arizona, and my experience with Suddenlink started when they bought out NPG Cable, my current provider at the time. I figured that nothing would really change because Suddenlink was probably going to keep all the same employees and equipment that NPG used, but I was wrong.
Not long after Suddenlink took over, I decided to add interenet to my entertainment package. I signed up for a deal that also included a digital cable box along with the internet. It went well for about a day before the first signs of trouble appeared.
The reception for the digital cable was so bad I couldn’t even watch it, and the internet never came in. I called up Suddenlink, and they sent someone out to see what was wrong. I was told that the heat was causing one of the parts outside to malfunction. A few days later they finally replaced the part, and told me the problem was fixed.
The next day the cable and internet was out again! I couldn’t believe it. I called them again, but this time it took over a week for them to finally send someone out. This time they replaced a bad piece of cable, which they left laying in my yard. Even worse, they left the gate open and let my dogs out into the street.
Can you guess what happened next? Yep, the cable went out, and the internet didn’t come in. I called Suddenlink again, but they just kind of ignored me. I decide that I was not going to pay for a service I wasn’t recieving, so I didn’t. I decided that I would pay when the issue was resolved, and tried to tell them, but they wouldn’t cooperate.
What Suddenlink did next was funny in a sad way. They took away my digital cable rights. Big difference that made. I didn’t even know what had happened at first because the digital cable never came in anyway. That was the last straw. After that I decided to cancel my service.
