Remembering Christmas

The smile of everyone’s faces glisten, and there’s this magical spark in the air. You can feel it, hear it, smell it, taste it. You know it’s there but you can’t get a hold of it of that energy. It’s Christmas.

A memory that I’m sure everyone has is waking up to a bounty of Christmas loot. Okay, okay, not everyone is that fortunate to receive that amount of gifts but there is always the one, special, immaterial object that surprises you. Happiness doesn’t always have to come from a box. It comes in many forms and simply spending time with your family is enough to make anyone have this warm feeling in their hearts. My mother works every single day of the year except on Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Years Eve. Those 3 days are the ones that I cherish the most because I know that shes not working, and taking a break for once. I try to spend as much time with her and my father because sometimes, it’s the only chance you will get for this mental reassurance.

Always remember your Christmas holiday. Whether you believe in it or not, there’s no reason for you to not celebrate it. There is no religious, physical, or mental boundary that will stop you. Helping others in need, volunteering, donating and simply being there for your family, and that doesn’t mean that you have to be related, is always helpful. These can always be done to help make a person in need smile and pass on the flame of happiness.
