My Most Inspirational Bible Scriptures

When I prayed and was “born again” these are the scriptures that taught me what I was required to do. The Bible says you first have to believe the Bible is the true word of God and I knew it was. Scriptures are exact.
1. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.
I knew by this verse that I was really a sinner.
2. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. I knew that I was not the only one that was in this bad condition. I realized that all people born into this world are born into sin.
3. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. When I first read that, before I got saved, I could not understand it. I thought it meant when you die, you just die. This scripture means that when I sin and are not born again, I die eternally and go to Hell. When I ask God for forgiveness, I am saved from Hell and when I die I go to Heaven forever.
4. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
This tells me Christ paid our price. He bore our sins on the cross and all I am required to do is to accept him. It is a free gift from God. He wanted me to accept him as I was.
5. Romans 10:9 Verse 9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
I know that when I confess Jesus to others and believe in my own heart that he was raised from the dead, I have been saved. This makes the whole concept of Jesus dying on the cross for me a reality.
6. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed until the day of redemption. This verse is truly the profound word. It tells me even if I sin all I have to do is go to God in prayer and ask forgiveness. I still have that old flesh that makes me succumb to temptation. My soul is saved, but my flesh, still there, desires the worldly things. Therefore, I just need to pray and ask God to forgive me of my daily sins because I know that I sin even in my own mind. I know I am not supposed to do it willing. This scripture lets me know that I am eternally sealed by God until I die or until Christ comes back.
When we are born again, it is compared to a baby being born. It has to learn to walk and talk. In my Christian life, I have to learn God’s ways to walk and talk.
