Matthew Fox the Latest Celebrity to Be Accused of Abuse

Former “Lost” actor Matthew Fox made headlines this weekend, but not for his stellar acting skills. Fox, 45, was detained by Cleveland, Ohio, officials after he tried to board a party bus. The bus driver denied the inebriated actor entry, so he allegedly retaliated by punching her in the breast and stomach, according to TMZ.

Awful.

Don’t worry, the driver didn’t take any of Fox’s alleged shenanigans – she punched him right back, striking him “in the mouth … causing a cut on his lip.” She reportedly broke her hand in the altercation. Go, girl – you should protect yourself. Fox was charged with assault on Tuesday.

Sadly, Fox isn’t the only celebrity to allegedly hit a woman. Plenty of other male celebrities have engaged in violence.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown might have gained critical acclaim for his performance at the 2011 VMAs, but one person didn’t clap for his performance: Jay-Z. Why? Because of the violent incident between him and Jay’s protege, Rihanna.

Brown allegedly punched and kicked his pop star girlfriend during an altercation in February 2009.

I’m going to beat the [expletive] out of you when we get home. You wait and see!” Brown reportedly told Rihanna.

“I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there,” Rihanna told her assistant afterward. He was later charged with two felonies and sentenced to probation and anger management courses.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen has quite the abusive past for someone who prides himself a comedian. He’s allegedly done everything from shooting his ex-fiance to beating alleged escort Capri Anderson at New York City’s Plaza Hotel last fall.

He was even arrested on Christmas day in 2009 for a violent fight with his now ex-wife, Brooke Mueller.

Winning? Hardly.

Bobby Brown

Former New Edition star Bobby Brown had quite the tumultuous relationship with ex-wife Whitney Houston. The couple had blow-out fights – and Houston told Oprah in 2009 that Brown was more emotionally abusive. He did slap her, though – and spit on her after a birthday party in Atlanta.

“He spit on me. He spit on me. He actually spit on me. And my daughter was coming down the stairs and she saw it. That was pretty intense. I didn’t grow up with that and I didn’t understand why that occurred – [why] he had such a hate for me because I loved him so much,” she told Oprah.

What do you think should happen to Matthew Fox in the bus driver incident?
