Manassas City Public Schools And Local Businesses Work To Provide The Best Possible Education For The Children In The School Division

Stand Strong 4 Education Expo – November 3, 2011:

Manassas City Public Schools and local businesses are coming together at an expo with the best possible education for children in the school division.

The Stand Strong 4 Education Expo is planned for November 3, 2011 at Mayfield Intermediate School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Manassas City Public Schools Education Foundation is sponsoring this event.

Public Is Invited:

The public is invited to learn about each of the schools, directly and in one place. A school within a particular division will be hosting its own exhibit and they will also be presenting 10 important facts the community needs to know about a particular school, and any other pertinent other informational materials. School administrators, representatives, and teachers will be on hand to speak with businesses and individuals who have any questions pertaining to each school.

Businesses Register For Free Exhibit Space At The Expo:

Businesses will also have an opportunity to participate by registering for free exhibit space at the expo. There will also be opportunities to sponsor the event and increase visibility through signs and event advertisement.

Ian Lovejoy, President of the Foundation indicated, this is an exciting time for the foundation and the schools division, to have this opportunity for the local businesses and education to come together is a sign of the incredible things to come.

The Manassas City Council and the Manassas City School Board supports the event. Special quests Mayor Harry “Hal” Parrish II and Council member Sheryl Bass will be speaking. Their will be members from both groups in attendance to show their support.

“It’s important to create this type opportunity for businesses and the school division to come together for the community. Even in these economic times, local businesses continue to support our schools. With the expo we offer the opportunity to promote local businesses as well as our public schools,” said Rita Colleran, Managing Director of the Foundation.
