“Love”

If you see the gentleman
Pacing back and forth
If he has a puzzled look on his face
He seems troubled of that everyone is sure
You will know he’s wondering what to do
Does he tell her that he loves her
Or does he walk away without looking back
He thinks it would be better if he just moved on
The trouble is his heart won’t let him go
When she looks at him his heart seems to melt
He wants to take her in his arms and say he loves her
Instead he leaves for yet another day
He goes home because he’s not sure what to do
This is one of the hardest things he’s ever had to endure
The love he feels has no explanation
He feels it from the depth of his soul
He feels sick from the worry of it all
She’s soft and kind with beautiful eyes
He wonders if she knows how much he cares
When he hears her voice everything seems right
This is the woman he wants by his side
Her name doesn’t matter nor the color of her eyes
She’s perfect just the way she is
What is a man to do when he loves someone so
When she looks at him he sees kindness and caring
The way she tilts her head when he comes into view
Could it be the look of love
How can he be sure
The smile she gives him is priceless beyond belief
He will call to hear her voice
He will pray for an answer of what to do
He can’t leave, his heart won’t let him go
Love has a meaning that only the beholder knows.
