I love makeup, but I hate shopping for makeup. There are so many different options. Each company has 20 different foundations, 100 different lipsticks, and 50 different mascaras. It’s just overwhelming!
It’s hard to decide which ones to buy. They all seem to have different packaging, but they all are supposed to be great. Each product description makes the product sound like a life saver.
The problem with foundations is that all different kinds of textures don’t work well for everyone. There are powders, liquids, mousses, and now souffles.
I thought this Loreal MagicSmooth Souffle would have a good consistency because the Dream Matte Mousse used to have a good consistency. But the problem with the souffle is that it feels creamy and smooth to the touch, but once you spread it on your face, it feels dry and looks streaky. Sure it has a silky feeling, but if you don’t apply quickly enough, you will have streaks.
It even left my skin looking a little dry and ashy, and that is a very unflattering look. I have to give this foundation 2 out of 5 stars, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone unless they have an oily skin type. Combination skin girls (like myself) and dry skin girls may not be able to pull this off.
