Baby news from Hollywood!
E! reality star Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant with baby number 2! According to E! Online, Kardashian made the public announcement Wednesday to Us Weekly. The story, which will run in the next issue of the magazine as an exclusive cover story, reveals that the reality star took a pregnancy test five weeks ago and woke up 28-year-old baby daddy Scott Disick at 7 a.m. to tell him the news.
Disick, who already has a son Mason with Kourtney, told Us Weekly, “It wasn’t like we weren’t trying. We kind of just said, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’ll be.’”
Kourtney’s famous sisters were quick to express their congratulations, starting with Kim, who made the announcement on her blog.
“This is such a blessing and the whole family is beyond thrilled! I just know Mason will make the best big brother and I can’t wait to meet my new little niece or nephew! Congratulations Kourtney and Scott. Xo.”
Khloé Kardashian Odom and mother Kris Jenner followed close behind, also posting about the happy event on their blogs today. Khloé wrote:
“”Kourtney is the greatest mom in the world and I am so proud of the woman she has become. I can’t wait to see her with a kid in each arm! She’ll be a pro. LOL. And if this next baby is anything like Mason, then we will truly be the luckiest family in the world.”
Jenner wrote, “”Nothing is more precious or dear to my heart than my children and grandchildren and we couldn’t be happier to share this amazing news!! Another amazing addition to our family and we feel completely blessed!!”
Kardashian has had her share of pregnancy rumors from tabloids and blogs alike, the most recent being in August right before her sister Kim’s wedding to Kris Humphries. Rumors began to fly due to Kourtney’s wardrobe choices leading up to the wedding (the dreaded flowing tops and tummy concealing dresses). The rumor was not true, and saw Kardashian blaming the tops and dresses on a few gained pounds after finishing breast-feeding son Mason.
Kourtney’s not the only one with some surprising baby news. According to MSN’s Wonderwall, singer Beyonce revealed that her child with Jay-Z is due to appear this December, two months earlier than originally speculated. In the behind-the-scenes footage for Beyonce’s “Countdown” video shoot (filmed in September), Beyonce laughs it up while posing with a copy of the New York Daily News.
Beyonce pokes fun at the caption (which said “Oh Baby!”), saying as she rubs her belly,
“Hello, it’s September 23rd. Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! This was on the cover of the Daily News. Right now, I’m actually shooting the video ‘Countdown’ and I’m six months pregnant pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits!”
Beyonce revealed her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
