Hebrews 7:25) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was crucified, dead and buried, raised from the dead and has ascended into Heaven is our great high priest. Some people trust in themselves, some in idols, some in false deities, some in keeping a set of certain rules and commandments and some trust in nothing at all, believing that there is nothing beyond or besides this frail mortal existence. However, there are those who have placed their faith in Jesus and have fixed their hope on Him; such people have a hope in God in this life and in the one to come.
This is not an uncertain hope such as, I hope there is pretty day tomorrow or I hope to win the lottery someday, but rather is a sure hope that believers in Jesus Christ can depend upon. For this hope is based upon the intercession of Jesus, our great, eternal high priest who lives forever to make intercession to God for those who have placed their faith in Him. Believers in Christ have a living hope, because Jesus is by the throne of God praying for them. This grants unto believers the unmerited favor of God based upon the atonement of Jesus’ blood that He shed upon the cross. Believers in Christ can rejoice in hope because they are saved to the uttermost by Jesus, who most assuredly is making intercession for them in heaven.
