There are certain things that, when you see them, can make you think of a country home. One such thing is a patchwork quilt. Another is a vase full of wildflowers. A garden gate that you already own might not be the exact size for the bed but that depends on whether you’re making a headboard and/or foot board for a twin bed, full size bed, or another size. But instead of a gate you can also use a section of picket fencing.
It isn’t hard to cut picket fencing down to size. With an electric saw you can quickly cut fencing to the size you need, since only a couple of wooden rails hold it together. It also takes little time to screw the gate or picket fence to the rails of the bed.
If you’d like to make the garden gate or picket fence headboard, and you don’t have the gate or fence, you can, of course, purchase it at a home improvement store. When you do so, you can have them cut the fencing to the size you need. Many of these stores will do this at no charge if you purchase the fencing from them.
