Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn’t matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

1776 American Revolutionary War: word of the United States Declaration of Independence reaches London

1821 Missouri is admitted as the 24th U.S. state

1944 World War II: American forces defeat the last Japanese troops on Guam

1949 U.S. President Harry S. Truman signs the National Security Act Amendment, streamlining the defense agencies of the United States government, and replacing the Department of War with the United States Department of Defense

1917-2001 Lou Boudreau, American baseball player and manager, Hall of Fame shortstop for the Cleveland Indians and the Boston Red Sox

1925-2007 Henry Cabot Lodge Bohler was a member of the prestigious Tuskegee Airmen during World War II who would later aid the advancement of civil rights for African-Americans living in the rural Southern United States

1942-2008 Isaac Hayes, American singer-songwriter, keyboardist and actor
