Another fall has settled in
marking the season to summer’s end
Colors of green turn to gold,
yellow, red, orange, and bold
A pumpkin patch grows big and strong
While days grow shorter and
nights grow long
On the wind is carried leaves
fallen from the timber trees
The air has chilled as if to say
Old man winter is on the way
But not just yet
there’s more in store
Before it’s time to close fall’s door
Trick or treat
there’s Halloween
With scary movies and wicked themes
After that comes turkey day
A time to feast a time to pray
So much comes in the season fall
A gift of beauty for us all
