Fall Harvesting Farms in Indianapolis

Indiana and farms go hand in hand, and what better time to visit one than in the fall? Indianapolis is full of farms, orchards, and gardens where the public can go and pick their own produce. Here you’ll find a list of some great spots to do so around the city.

Stuckey Farm
This working farm and orchard offers 27 varieties of apples, as well as other produce including sweet corn, cabbage, and pumpkins. They also have a country store where you’ll find fresh baked pies, jellies, jams, and much more. Located just north of Indianapolis in Sheridan, on the border of Hamilton and Boone counties.

Anderson Orchard
Located southwest of Indianapolis in Mooresville, Anderson Orchard offers not only apple picking, but also the opportunity to pick raspberries, pumpkins, and chestnuts. Additionally, they host an annual apple festival and craft fair.

Tuttle Orchards
Since 1928, Tuttle Orchards has been offering u-pick produce, including apples, pumpkins, and peppers, to the Indianapolis area. Open year round, they offer a multitude of activities, including hayrides, a corn maze, and a caramel apple festival in the fall.

Spencer Farm
Located on Indianapolis’ north side, Spencer Farm offers a variety of u-pick produce including raspberries, mums, green beans, and pumpkins. They also have a shop that offers ice cream, pies, fudge, and seasonal sweets.

Piney Acres Farm
While mostly viewed as a Christmas Tree Farm, Piney Acres also offers a u-pick pumpkin patch and a corn maze to be enjoyed in the fall months. They also have a “gem mine” and a gift shop for those looking for crafts and decor. Piney Acres Farm is located east of Indianapolis, in Fortville.
