Old Town Manassas, Virginia, 29th Annual Fall Jubilee:

Old Town Manassas, Virginia is preparing for their 29th Annual Fall Jubilee which will be held on 1 October 2011 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event will feature hundreds of crafters, including exhibitors with hand-made jewelry, woodcrafts, face painting, a pumpkin patch, live entertainment, and of course, rides.

What’s going to be new this year? Well, there will be an interactive dance area with groups like the Happy Fee Cloggers, the Suburban Gypsies and the Israeli Dance Program. You can notTonly watch the dances but you can also learn the dance steps too.

There will be a women’s division of Masters of Chainsaw, which began in 1992, and the Pennsylvania-based Chainsaw Chix, or “The Chix” will be here to do their artistry of beautiful log carving.

The performance will demonstrate a live wood-carving exhibition using chain saws. We might mention, the Chainsaw Chix hail from throughout the nation and globe, including Japan and Germany. All the woodwork pieces that are created by Chainsaw Chix during their carvings during the event will be auctioned off. You don’t want to miss out on this amazing exhibition.

The Northwest Federal Credit Union, the neighborhood sponsor, will feature entertainment and music for the children, face painting, and a varsity of talented local youth, the Spotlight and Showcase Dance Studios and Manassas Martial Arts demonstrations.

The children will have rides to entertain them which is offered by Jump-works and include the Acro-Spring, Cosmic Quest, Spider Climb, Twisted Twister, Monkey Bouncer and Fire Truck Slide. So children…come prepared to enjoy yourselves.

The Boy Scouts of Troop 670 will also provide games and the Wegman’s Pumpkin Patch, where children can decorate a pumpkin of their choice. Won’t this be a lot of fun for the children too?

There’ll be crafter booths of hand-made products from soaps, lotions, and paintings.

The main stage, sponsored by K. Hovanian, featuring bands like Everwilde, No Charge, which is a group from Richmond, Virginia, and The Rokersons, formerly known as Blame the Dog

Other sponsors will be the News & Messenger, Dominion Power, Harris Teeter, Verizon Wireless and Hampton Inn.
