If you’re putting the finishing touches on your wedding reception consider decorating with pans from your kitchen. Not any ordinary pans but bundt pans. The unusual pan with a hole in the middle can be used in several different ways to create a centerpiece or other room decoration. Choose the one which suits you and you’ll be able to make it in minutes.
One way to get creative with a bundt pan is to simply turn it upside-down and set a candle in the middle. Use double-sided tape to stick flowers all over the pan to conceal it. The finished look is a gorgeous mound of flowers that surrounds the candle. Besides flowers you can also attach tiny bows, strands of pearls, or even large rhinestones.
Turn the pan right side-up to make a slightly different version of the above centerpiece. Set the candle in the middle of the bundt pan and fill the pan with flowers. Choose some flowers and plants which will spill out and over the sides of the pan for the best appearance. Using a ring of Styrofoam in the bottom of the bundt pan will help keep the flowers in place.
Instead of filling the right-side-up pan with flowers you have other options. Fill it with river rocks, colored marbles, glass stones, or just flower petals. The pan can also be filled with colored water and floating candles can be set on top. Finish it by placing a few flower petals to float in the water with the candles.
You can make a huge, rising candle by stacking bundt pans. Set the candle on a pedestal of wood or another lifter. Slide the bundt pans over the candle to make a stack as large as you want. Make sure the candle rises above the top bundt pan. Use the double-sided tape to conceal the pan with flowers and other embellishments.
You don’t absolutely have to use a candle in the middle of the bundt pan. You can create a lovely look simply by filling or covering the pan with flowers and setting it on the table.
Although most bundt pans are metallic in color they’re easy to spray paint. Choose paint which is suitable for metal and you can make the bundt pans any color you want so that they fit in with your wedding color scheme.
