It’s the merging of two Disney dynasties. The worlds of “Hannah Montana” and “Zack and Cody” are about to become permanently intertwined off-screen. Disney darling Brenda Song and Miley Cyrus’ brother Trace are engaged to be married. The couple is reportedly expecting their first child later this year.
While her name may not be as immediately recognizable as Miley, Selena, or Demi, Brenda is one of those stars who the parent of a tween will recognize. We’ve dug up some details on the soon-to-be-Mrs.-Cyrus to help get to know Miley’s soon-to-be sister-in-law:
Suite Life: You may know her better as her alter-ego London Tipton. The character has made the voyage with the boys on both “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and “The Suite Life on Deck”.
Disney: She hasn’t caught on quite as quickly as some of the other Disney stars, but Beyond is one of the network’s go-to-girls for their network films. Her credits include: “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior”, “Get A Clue”, “Stuck In The Suburbs” and “The Suite Life Movie”.
Movie Star: It has been off the teen network that the actress has seen her biggest acting success. She appeared in the award winning film, “The Social Network”, as Eduardo’s girlfriend.
Music: No Disney star is complete without a catchy tune to their credit. Song was a member of the Disney Channel Circle of Stars and was featured on the hit “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”. Singing has taken a backseat to her acting career these days.
Trace Cyrus: The Disney Princess and Miley’s big brother have been dating since May 2010. Rumors that the couple are expecting their first child emerged over the summer. Neither party has confirmed or denied the reports. Trace announced their engagement on Twitter last week to the delight of his little sister.
