Her fans are some of the most loyal in the world, and Beyonce Knowles had quite the reaction to her pregnancy news on the social networking website Twitter.
During the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28), tweets regarding the “Crazy in Love” singer’s bun in the oven hit a high of 8,868 per second at 10:35pm ET. Previous record holders were the Women’s World Cup, Osama bin Laden’s death, and Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.
The “Run The World” songstress will be scaling back her responsibilities in preparation for her soon-to-be-born, but she’s still staying signed on for the October 8th Michael Jackson Tribute Concert.
According to Knowles’ rep, she’ll sing via satellite and her “pregnancy will not affect her performance.”
And since she’s said to be about four months along currently, that means Beyonce will be halfway through her fifth month when she takes the stage in October.
Meanwhile gal pal Kelly Rowland has opened up about her former fellow group member’s recently-announced pregnancy – offering nothing but kind words for Beyonce.
“She takes so many traits from her mother, and I just think it’s going to be so natural for her. It’s natural for her now!” she told Us weekly, adding, “I think she’ll be an incredible mother, because she’s always been motherly.”
Fresh off of her exciting news that she’s got a bun in the oven, Beyonce Knowles took the stage for a performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28).
Putting her gorgeous vocals on full display, the soon-to-be 30-year-old delved into her song “Love On Top” to the thrill of the Nokia Theatre LA Live audience.
As previously reported by various news outlets, Miss Knowles broke the big news on the black carpet that she and husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child together.
Upon wrapping up her stage effort, Knowles joyously tossed down her mic before rubbing her belly as her “99 Problems” rapper hubby wildly applauded from his primo seat in the audience.
