The service at Caffe Positano was impeccable. It was just as perfect as the food itself. The staff is knowledgeable about their menu and can answer any questions you may have. The staff appears to be well trained and efficient in their duties. There was also live entertainment when we were there and I am told they have this entertainment every Thursday through Saturday evening.
I really can’t complain at all about this restaurant. Our refills were never lacking and the food was brought out at precisely the right time to avoid any tummy rumblings. The server brought the check at just the right time that we were ready to go. I really enjoyed the dining experience here.
The food is a delightful, surreal experience.
Our meal began with an appetizer. We ordered the shrimp and Portabello mushrooms and they were divine. The perfect starter food to get your appetite revved up. I was most pleased with the mozarella sticks and pastas because they were made in the old world way. They didn’t hold back on any of the flavors and it showed. The meal reminded me of the movies where you can just imagine being a tourist in one of Italy’s cafe’s dining on some of the most authentic food you will ever consume. Additionally, they make the best fried calamari. Our group was informal enough that we had to sample a bit of each other’s dishes. So good!
The decor welcomes you into an old world Italian atmosphere.
The restaurant is decorated appropriately in the Italian style. The lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere. They have a bar area which is perfect for pre-and post dinner drinks. It’s a great place to sit and wait for your reservation or to meet the rest of your party if you arrive early. When you’re dining here, you feel like you are really being taken care of hospitality-wise.

Caffe Positano offers catering so you can share this experience at your special event. They are located in Apopka but also have locations in Lake Mary, Sanford and in the College Park area. These locations are all in Central Florida. If you go online to their website you can sometimes find coupons. This definitely can help the price tag of a great meal.
If you value exquisite food, excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere, then the price is right for Caffe Positano.
The cost of a meal here is probably a little more expensive than a casual dinner but if you have the means, I would definitely give Caffe Positano a shot. I would recommend Caffe Positano if you’re looking to spend time with friends and family. Their large back room makes the perfect meeting place for business or special occasions. When I am in town from now on, I will look to Caffe Positano for consistently excellent food and an overall dining experience.
