why do i have sharp pains in my belly button?
Q: I stretched really hard last night and it resulted in a sharp pain in my belly button and penis area. it hurt for a couple of minutes untill i got in the fetal posion. i woke up this morrning with a fever and a bad cough. it hurts my belly button when i pee. it feels better then it did last night. should i go to the doctors or wait and see if it gose away?
A: That has happened to me so many times!, although I’ve never felt sick the next day as you described. I remember realizing it for the first time when I was a little kid that it would hurt in that way just if I stuck a finger in my belly button. I was very sensitive about it, and my younger brother used to tease me and try to poke my bellybutton because he knew it would hurt. I’ve asked other people what it was before, including my mom who’s a nurse and everyone has told me they have never heard of such a thing. My guess is maybe it has something to do with the groin muscle? I’m very interested to hear the answer to this. GOod question. Sorry your not feeling well!
Why do I have belly button pain upon stretching or standing?
Q: I am a 19 year old female. Sometimes, I have belly button pain when I stretch or or stand up. Today that happened to me and I went to lay down on my belly and screamed out in pain. I’m kinda worried about it and when the pain hits, it makes me feel like I have to use the restroom and do #1. It’s not always like this. This problem comes every once in a while. If anyone can answer my question, it would be greatly appreciated.
A: You better go see a doctor. I wouldn’t take any chance for something that made you scream in pain.Might be hernia.Depending on your diet, it might be gas. You may need to go to toilet. However, if it doesn’t go away in a day or two. I would go show it to a doctor. Think about it, it could be your intestines.. Might be very serious. I hope it turns out ok for you.

Q: I have had a sore side today on the right and a few sharp stabbing pains benath belly button could this be appendicitis?
A: Yes, it’s possible that appendicitis could be starting but these type of sharp pains around the navel can also sometimes be from gas (an example only). The only way to know for sure what’s going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
