Why are my gauged ears peeling?
Q: My ears have been recently gauged to 3/4 of an inch.My ears aren’t irritated at all besides minor itching, but I noticed both of them are beginning to peel and are starting to look ashy?Is this bad?Should I just lotion them up?
A: I suggest you see your doctor asap. Is not the peeling but the color that is concerning. If your ears look ashy means the circulation is defective and maybe some necrosis in the area.Put alcohol in the meantime and visit your doctor today
How big can you gauge your ears and they’ll still close up if you take them out?
Q: I’m at size zero now. And so I’ve heard that it’s like “the point before no return”, but I’m itching to stretch bigger. How big can you go before you permanently damage your ears? How big are your gauges? What’s the average size you can go up to and your ears will still close? No rude answers please. If you don’t like gauges just don’t answer. Simple as that. Any stories about stretching or gauges stuff include. I love hearing everything.
A: 2g is generally considered the point of no return but a lot of it also depends on your genetics (how elastic your skin is) and whether or not you stretch properly. If you go to fast and create scar tissue there’s a good chance they won’t shrink, but if you take your time and do it correctly then they should go back (assuming you don’t go too large).
I gauged my ears to 12s and I’ve got a few issues now. Help?
Q: I did it a few days ago and they became infected after I put my over priced hot topic horns in, probably from where I didn’t throughly clean them when I put them in. The holes weren’t completely stretched to take in a 12 but I forced it through and they tore, bled, hurt and then became infected. I started shooting peroxide through with a needless syringe and that had pretty much cleared up the left one but the right still has a bit of pus coming out of it and is still sore. I’ve got some kind of funk on the back side of my ear. It feels bumpy and rough, kind of like reptile skin. Then not long after I got a rash on my throat that itches like hell but I put some itch cream on that and that no longer itches like crazy. How can I completely clear up the infection in my ears? I’m NOT going to take my gauges out and let them heal up.
A: Sounds like you may have had a reaction to the peroxide go to a chemist & find out what other stuff you can use to clear up the infection. failing that you may need to see a doctor for some antibiotics to clear it up. This sounds rough but I use straight methylated spirits on my ear infections clears it up nice & quickDon’t take out the gauge perseverance pays
