Has anyone ever heard of this happening to a woman’s ovaries before?
Q: Ever since last night at 5:30, I have had unbelievably terrible pains in my stomach. So when I got home from a field trip (I’m 13). my mom rushed me to childrens’ emergency hospital. They felt my stomach and gave me some advil, and then told me to come back if the pain continued into the morning. So I came back, and they put an IV in me to fill my bladder in order for me to have an ultrasound to see if I had appendicitis. It turns it I had a cyst on my ovary which exploded, causing serious pains in my stomach. They knew this because my right ovary was bigger than the left as there was a fluid circling it. It also means that I will be getting my period in the next month or so, as I haven’t had it yet. Has anyone heard of this happening before, especially to a 13 year old girl? Thanks!
A: i am 13 gonna be 14 and it happend too me about two months agonot the same thing, but i was up all night one night thininking it was my appendix, it went away and come back two weeks later so i went to the ER. it was a cyst on my ovary but did not explode.it went away by itself. if you keep getting them they will most likely put you on birth control.hope u feel better!
Has anyone experienced cysts on the ovaries and endometeriosis ….?
Q: and used the birthcontrol pill as a way of controlling the cysts and to regulate your periods? If so what happens after you turn 40 and your Doc. decides to take you off the pill because your too old for the pill? What medication is out there for women to control the cysts and endometreosis other then the pill? Surgery is out of the question.
A: I have endometriosis. I have had four endometriomas (hemmorhagic cysts) removed from my ovaries. Birth control pills will stop you from ovulating and in turn stop your endometriosis from spreading. It will not make endometriomas go away, nor will it heal or cure you.If you doctor won’t allow you to take the pill anymore, you might want to ask about Mirena IUD. Not all doctors use this for endo, but yours might. If he/she doesn’t, you should see another doctor. If you stop taking the pill and do nothing else, your endo is going to spread. Perhaps you should investigate whether or not an endo specialist practices in your area. They are usually more equipped to handle endo patients.I would also advise you to read as much as you can about the condition. There are websites and books that talk about diet as one control, exercise to help with the pain and so forth. Your first line of defense is to be well educated.Good luck!
Has any other woman had this happen…?
Q: I have been taking Loestrin 24 fe for 5 months now and have never missed a pill. And usually take in within 5 minutes. During the 4th month I had, I believe what was, Breakthrough bleeding from day 7 to 13. Then after that it was nothing. At the end of the month I didn’t get my period. I have taken 2 HPT’s 4 days apart and both came out negative. My ovaries are feeling really weird. Could it be a cyst or am I getting false negatives? I see the DR in March, which is when my next Gardasil is due. Has anyone else had this type of missed period happen?Well she wanted to put me on a higher dose, and gave me samples for Femcom Fe. But I have just started school and don’t want to mess with my hormones during because even with Loestrin 24 fe, I was sick to my stomach and missed a lot of class time along with work. Thanks so much for your answer! I feel a lot better.
A: no i haven’t but i would advise you to see your dr B4 march !! just in case
