Q: i found that they have seperate definition on the internet. however, i also found people said they are the same.i am confused.i have a friend diagnose by doctor as slight AS and she has no problem in communicating with me. She got angry when people told her what to do. However she likes to listen to my opinions.
A: They are not the same syndrome. However, some people have both of them. As far as I know, most people who have Savant syndrome have some form of autism, such as Asperger's syndrome. Not everyone who has autism has Savant syndrome though.
