What is the main cause of yeast infection?
Q:
A: There are a couple of “main” causes. The first is chemical reactions. Different antibacterial soaps kill the natural bacteria (healthy bacteria) in the vagina.. next is the use of antibiotic medications. They are meant to kill harmful bacterial infections, in turn, killing off the good healty bacteria. Processed food is another common cause of yeast infections.
Can male yeast infections affect your lymph nodes?
Q: I am not circumcised and had a case of balanitis. My groin lymph nodes were very swollen and painful during that episode, but I was treated with both a cream and pills. The balanitis is basically gone, but when I was treating myself some new symptoms came up.My penis glans is very dry and flakey, with some dry white build up. It is not smegma. A small patch and a little inset dot formed. Some other strange symptoms popped up as well. I at first was scared of it being penile cancer, but being only 20 and recovering from a case of balanitis didn’t make that seem too logical. But the main question I have here is can a yeast infection cause groin lymph node pain? They don’t seem swollen. At least not like when they were during the balanitis. They were ballooned then. The pain is sort of like a cramp in that region.I have a urologist appointment for Tuesday.Just trying to get an idea, since I hate waiting.Really appreciate any help.Oh I should also add a timeline. Balanitis started about 5 weeks ago. Treatment for that began a week and a half later. Antibiotic treatment was for about 11 days. The newer symptoms (yeast infection type) either came up during or after treatment. Lymph node problems went away after antibiotics. Though I did have very minor and occasional pains later. They are just more frequent now.
A: Just be patient and wait for your appointment. Neither myself nor many people on here can properly advise you on this.Good luck.
what is causing my irregular vaginal bleeding?
Q: today i discovered that i had irregular bleeding. this is has never happened before. im on birth control and i just recently treated a yeast infection yesterday with an over the counter medication. could the yeast infection be a main cause? or is that unlikely?
A: Yes, it is possible that the yeast infection could have something to do with that irregular bleeding. Another possibility is that the over the counter treatment could have something to do with it (an example only). The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
