Looking for a song by a girl who plays piano and claps?
Q: It was on a commercial, i think. I don’t know who sings it or what commercial, but it has piano and then it pauses she claps and then goes back to piano. Its not Love Song. Any clues would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.
A: Erm, the only thing that comes to mind is Regina Spektor. That sounds like her kind of thing.
Does it bother you when the audience claps for dead people during a montage?
Q: Like at Award shows…Grammy’s, Oscars, etc…and they have the tribute to the fellow artists who have passed. It really bothers me that the audience claps loudly for some people and not so much for others. I wish they would be instructed to “give proper tribute by holding all applause” or something like that. What do you think?
A: no. last years oscars i actually clapped for heath ledger in my living room when his picture came up.although yeah it is kinda sad that some people get less clapping. maybe they should have a “hold all applause” policy in the theatre and just let us at home clap in privacy.
How come no one claps after movies anymore?
Q: Everyone used to clap and now no one does anymore after a theater movie is over. People just like leave. What’s up with that?
A: People still clap, but I guess it really depends on the film and the audience itself. The last film I saw where people clapped was the new Star Trek – (but no clapping on Angels & Demons). Maybe it’s a fun factor or fan / nostalgia thing. I also notice folks seem to clap more after Disney / Pixar / family films, perhaps because children and families are more spontaneous and are not wondering if they just saw a work of art. Clapping is contagious. If you see something you like, by all means clap – I bet others will join in.
