A: Ok my son just had this and it was hell!! hey we got threw it though !he caught it at chuckie cheese (ahhhh)SO the only thing that worked was the b.r.a.t diet our doc told us about bananas,rice,applesauce,toast sounds crazy but it really worked I also steered clear of any type of dairy it seemed to make the vomiting worse!!!Just pleantly of water/juice and rest!!!!!it took about a week or little longer to go away!! good luck!! p.s also try pedilite.

Rotavirus is transmitted via the fecal-oral route, which is more of a concern for toddlers/young children, not infants. Also, rotavirus is not really dangerous past the age of 2…so it appears to be a useless vaccine, similar to the way one is being developed for roseola.
